Thoughts with SpecTech

Hi Everyone 😊!

Im here to share the insights that I have on tech with you all. I have loved Tech for a majority of my life and it has impacted my moves daily. I have a few gripes with some gadgets but appreciation and enjoyment for a majority of it all. Many of my loyal fans can already know a few of the top arguments I will present but allow me to fill you in on the first topic.

The “Headphone Jack”, what some can appreciate and miss may be long gone. To express my frustration over the manufacturer’s decision to rid many devices of this amenity, I wrote, filmed, and produced a music video that stressed the urgency to bring the jack back. Hence why I created the movement #BringTheHeadphoneJackBack. This was fun and a great way for me to portray just how we the consumers would appreciate the option to have wired headphones despite the industry’s drive to convert modern to more innovative with Bluetooth headphones. Many companies followed suit of certain “Flagship” brands by removing a board slot for headphone jacks and forced many of us to throw away great “Flagship” wired headphones. This takes place even when not necessary. Some of us in the tech community observe and explain vacant spaces of phones and tablets that there may have been a spot for “headphones”. Just imagine spending money on adapters and thinking, “I guess I can try to sell these wired devices to make some of my investment back.” This is what I know many techies deal with due to change that did not have to take place.

I want to invite you all to consider the losses that you had with your tech and perhaps have your own conversations with friends and family about what should or should not be taken away from your devices. Be sure to let me know over Twitter and stay tuned for the next post. Until next time, I want you all to have a SpecTechular Day. Later!
